5 Megapixel Varifocal IR Lenses, A Series 1/2.7" 5 Megapixel Varifocal IR lenses were engineered for compatibility with the most common 1/2.7" and 1/3” Megapixel camera sensors. The unique optical design assures optimal performance with HD Megapixel camera applications and is available in Manual, DC Auto-Iris, and P-Iris models.

Many megapixel lenses have failed to achieve the same resolution of multi-megapixel IP cameras, making them the weakest link in the system and limiting detail on digital zoom playback.

Computar's 5.0 Megapixel IR varifocal and monofocal lenses specifically designed for the surveillance market. Unlike some 5MP lenses that are optimized for close up applications, they display maximum resolution and picture quality at longer focus distances typically used for security.
