Commack, NY – May 3, 2007 - CBC (AMERICA) Corp. announces the release of three new IR lenses engineered to provide best possible imaging performance with True Day/Night Cameras. Computar’s Day/Night IR lenses are engineered to work with IR Illuminators and True Day/Night cameras that use a retractable IR cut filter. They eliminate the focus shift that often occurs with conventional lenses at night, providing optimum sharpness for 24-hour surveillance.
The 8.5-40mm IR varifocal features an extended telephoto range while maintaining a maximum aperture of F1.3, providing unsurpassed Day/Night outdoor surveillance. The all purpose 2.8-12mm IR varifocal provides the proper field of view for almost all general surveillance applications. The 2.9-8.2mm IR varifocal features aspherical optics to provide a super fast F1.0 maximum aperture for best low light performance.
All Computar® IR varifocals are available in manual iris, DC auto iris or video auto iris versions. All are equipped with locking setscrews for zoom and focus controls and offer a comprehensive 3-year warranty.
